I’m honored to share that The Row, directed by Academy Award winner Bryan Fogel, has been selected for the 2026 Telluride Film Festival. The film follows my two solo Pacific Ocean rowing expeditions and the journey beyond the crossings themselves. Telluride is one of the world’s most respected film festivals, and it’s a privilege to premiere the film alongside this year’s extraordinary lineup.

“In 2020, Tez Steinberg, an accomplished endurance athlete, undertook the arduous task of rowing solo from California to Hawaii, a 2,700-mile journey. Four years later, he decides to embark upon an even more impossible trip, traveling solo across the 5,000 miles from Hawaii to Australia. The journeys are, in themselves, awesome challenges of navigation, Mr. Fix-it skills, and threats to health and sanity—enough to inspire a mini-series. But on top of these monumental challenges, Steinberg wrestles with major inner demons, arising from his parents’ divorce and his father’s suicide, along with his own massive health problems.
